Hi everyone!

Great to see everyone back at it for another year of weeklybeats (yippee)

Hoping 2026 will be the 52 week dream, but we'll see how we go!

Starting off the year with a throwback to 2022, making some nintendo gba/ds styled music to relive some pokemon mystery dungeon nostalgia, not as complex a piece as I was hoping for but you gotta start somewhere eh?

STAY COOL big_smile

Ooh this is pretty!

This is immediately giving me the warm fuzzies and nostalgic vibes. 😊 Psyched to hear your sound again Mortistar. Can’t wait to hear more of your tunes this year!

happy new year! this rules! so comforting smile

This is after you found the first treasure chest in the caves. So hopeful and in search for more!
There is a bit of Undertale in there as well, i feel. Great stuff!

I'm in a comfortable place

brought a tear to my eye

SO GOOD! Very reminiscent of old rpg games I used to play as a kid. absolutely in love with the pizzicato, fits perfectly within the arrangement. everytime i hear pizzicato i always think of Vivi's Theme from FF9. heart

love that soundfonts !!!

We are so back

Nostalgia over 9000

This is lovely. I love the pad that kinda shimmers off into the distance at every release.

Yeah, this is indeed lovely. Lush and crunchy at the same time.

Welcome back, love this style and glad to hear it again, great way to start the year.

Came back here after week 1 for more GBA/DS goodness.

Those pizzicato strings are hitting the bulls-eye from the get go, but the sound on those pad swells + reverb are the real winner here.
